Methven
It’s a 60 min pothole-ridden drive from the Airport to Methven, but if you’ve got time, we highly recommend taking the Inland Scenic Route 72. It’s only 20 minutes longer, but it brushes along the base of the Southern Alps and through the Rakaia Gorge.

Methven is nestled at the base of Mount Hutt. It’s a ski-town in Winter and home to hundreds of Irish bailing contractors in Summer.

The clubhouse is going to provide carts and refrigerate our drinks.
We’re going to need people to drive said carts, deliver said drinks and boost morale.
